Posted October 03, 2018 05:06:24 Elizabeth Taylor married her longtime lover Jim Karras in 1951.
The couple spent almost a decade together before their relationship came to an end in 1960.
The Associated Press reported at the time that Taylor was devastated when she found out Karrs marriage to her brother, Jim, was annulled in divorce papers.
They split in 1967 and Taylor moved to England with her children, the AP reported.
“He never loved me, I don’t know what happened between us,” she told the AP.
“But it’s the way he behaved.
He was always very nasty to me.”
Karr, who was living in New York at the times, was later found guilty of tax evasion and sentenced to two years in prison.
Taylor, who died in 2004, was a star in her own right.
She married Karr in 1952, and he later divorced her.
He had three children, one of whom, Susan, later died in a plane crash in France.
In 2006, Taylor’s former husband, Jim Kasser, filed for divorce from Taylor, claiming that they had a history of arguing.
Kasser’s lawyers also said Taylor had been unfaithful to him for years.
