We’re on a countdown to the marriage license crisis in Texas.
That’s because the state is running out of marriage licenses, and the numbers are increasing.
The latest statistics from the state’s Department of Public Safety show that there are only 3,637 available licenses for marriage.
That compares to 9,854 licenses that are currently available.
It means that even if there are enough available licenses to fill the backlog, it will take years before any are issued.
We’re not saying that’s a bad thing.
We’re saying that we need to get the word out and make sure people know that they have options, and that we’re there to help people get marriage licenses if they need them.
